Ronald E. Wells

Ronald Edwin Wells was born in Washington, DC on August 29, 1948. He died peacefully on May 14, 2025. He leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Kathryn Ann (nee Mulvaney). He is survived by four children: Thomas (Susan) Wells, Kristen (Mark) Corallo, Ronald (Lisa) Wells, Elizabeth (Shawn) Wingard, and twelve grandchildren: Robert, Catriona, Olivia, Julia, Carolyn, Sophia, Katie, Tucker, Samantha, Abigail, Molly, Carson and one great-grandchild on the way. He is also survived by older sister, Mary Kay Vass, younger sister, Patricia Barrett (Bill), sister-in-law, Mary “Maura” Mulvaney and brother-in-law, Michael “Dennis” Mulvaney.

Ron was a native of Suitland, Maryland, attended St. John’s College High School and graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s, where he was a golden glove on the baseball team. He was active in the Camp Springs Boys and Girls club, holding Assistant and Head Coach positions and serving on the Board of Directors. He made the time to attend his children’s various athletic events. He was a baseball fan and an avid golfer. He had an entrepreneurial spirit, with ventures into the popcorn and soda vending business. He retired from the Air Force civilian service at the Pentagon. He enjoyed daily rounds of golf in his retirement, knowing the 36 holes at JB Andrews like the back of his hand.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, May 22nd, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 2nd Avenue, S.W., Glen Burnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 23rd, 10:30 am, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 801 Stevenson Rd, Severn. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton.
