Rodolfo LLobet

Rodolfo LLobet, a cherished husband, father and esteemed member of the aviation community, passed away on June 9, 2025, in Linthicum, Maryland. Born on August 28, 1964, in Montreal, Canada, Rodolfo dedicated his life to service, to God, his country, and his family.

A proud graduate of the US Air Force Academy in 1987, Rodolfo began a remarkable career as a Naval Aviator during the Gulf War, from which he was honorably discharged in March 1995. His passion for aviation led him to a fulfilling position as a Captain for United Airlines, where he served with distinction for 30 years before his retirement.

Rodolfo was well-known for his humility and caring nature. He was a devoted family man and is survived by his beloved wife, Kelly Kathryn LLobet (nee Walter). He also leaves behind his sons, Rodolfo Paul, Ignatius Patrick, Nicolas Bernard, and Agustine Gabriel; his daughter, Anna Avila; and his mother-in-law, Barbara C. Walter

His faith played a central role in his life; he was very active in his church, the National Shrine of St. Alphonsus Liguori, and held a profound love for God. His interests were varied and included playing his guitar, woodworking, and studying languages—activities that brought him immense joy.

He is preceded in death by his father, Josep LLobet; his mother, Ofelia Poeta LLobet; and his father-in-law, Bernard Walter.

Rodolfo's legacy will be honored at the National Shrine of St. Alphonsus Liguori in Baltimore, MD, on Friday, June 13, 2025, with a Holy Hour starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
