Robert Francis Bothe

Robert Francis “Bob-Bob” Bothe, 81, passed away at his home on December 9, 2025, six days after his beloved wife, Maralene. Born in Baltimore, he was the loving son of the late Naomi R. and Richard G. Bothe Sr.

Bob-Bob dedicated over 40 years of his life working for NSA.

As a devoted member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, he fostered his love for the church through active involvement with the Pastoral Care Ministry, supporting congregation members in many aspects of life.

Bob-Bob found joy in gardening, and watching football, especially cheering for his favorite team, the Baltimore Ravens. In his younger years, he helped coach his daughter, Jessica, on various sports teams. However, his greatest joy came from his grandchildren—AJ Marshall, Luke Noratel, Izabelle Marshall, Mason Marshall, Madison Marshall, Shannon Noratel, and Joshua Noratel, with a great-granddaughter on the way.

Bob-Bob is also survived by his loving daughter, Jessica Noratel, and his beloved niece, Heather Most. He will also be missed by his brother, Richard G. Bothe Jr.; and many adored nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Maralene; and his brothers, Ronald and Michael Bothe.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bob’s life during visitation at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services PA in Glen Burnie, MD, on Friday, December 26th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Saturday, December 27th, at 10:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park. Donations may be made in his name to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 308 Oak Manor Drive, Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
