Robert "Bob" Stephen McCormick

        On Tuesday, January 16, 2024, Robert “Bob” Stephen McCormick of Glen Burnie, MD passed away peacefully with family by his side, Beloved husband of Jackie McCormick, loving father of Stephen R. McCormick and his wife Nancy, Charles C. McCormick, Dawn M. McDonald and her husband Mike, Tina Gibson and her husband Joe, Jr., Mac McCormick and his wife Crystal, Kimberly A. Martin and the late Patrick J. McCormick. Brother of Ronald McCormick and Kelly Gonzales. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren , nieces, nephews and loving friends. Bob was also preceded in death by his parents; Eva and Arthur McCormick.       

       Bob was born on January 8, 1946 to Eva and Arthur McCormick in Cincinnati Ohio. He joined the Navy in 1963 at the age of 17 he was a communications specialist with high security clearance on the USS Forestall. He served for 11 years when he voluntarily discharged from the Navy to pursue other experiences. He started working with Motorola and worked his way up to Northern regional Director. He was with them for 24 years till he retired in October 1998. From there he pursued other experiences, like being a realtor and a car salesman at Carmax, along the way he became a husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, yardwork, genealogy, shooting pool watching football, especially the Ravens and the Bears. He was a member of the AKC American Kennel Club. He enjoyed breeding and training Akita’s. He fully retired in 2014 to enjoy the good life of Retirement and go fishing whenever he could.

       Family and friends are invited to gather at the Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 2^nd Avenue, SW ,(at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Where a Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 10:00 am. Bob’s Inurnment will be held at a later date privately. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
