Reva L. Norwig

December 30, 1944 — June 28, 2025

It is with heavy hearts to announce the passing of Reva L. Norwig, of Glen Burnie, who left us on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the age of 80. She has battled kidney disease and lung cancer for the past couple of years yet passed peacefully in her sleep.

Reva loved her family fiercely and loved the Lord even more. In her healthier years, she enjoyed maintaining her yard and "shopping till she dropped" with her sisters. She liked to watch British movie mysteries and other crime solving series. On occasion, she would also watch UFO documentaries. Reva had a love of all animals, especially dogs and birds. If animals could be soulmates, Feona, her chihuahua, fit that to a "T".

Reva worked numerous jobs, retiring as a real estate leasing agent in 2009. She was born in Blue Diamond, Kentucky on December 30, 1944 to the late Gertrude (Smith) and Edgar Daugherty. She was the 7th of nine children born to the most loving and Christian woman God ever put on this earth.

She has left to grieve her memory two of her loving children, Terri Lynn Sheaffer, of Glen Burnie, and Michael Misener Jr., of Tivoli, TX; adored grandsons, Mitchell Sheaffer (Sara), of Ocean City, MD, Michael Misener III (Cierra), Tony Misener (Emily) and Daniel Misener, all of Victoria, TX. She will also be missed by her cherished great-granddaughters, Ava and Leah Sheaffer of Ocean City and Isabella Misener of Victoria, TX; dear siblings, Barbara Peterson (Don) of Culpeper, VA, Fred Daugherty of Odenton, MD, Lois Bolles of Severn, MD and Billie Jo Bonolis of Millville, PA; and many loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

In addition to her parents, Reva was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jonathan Norwig III; and her brothers, Jim, Don, Bob and Kenny Daugherty.

Visitation will be held at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, Glen Burnie, on Tuesday, July 8th, from 11 AM - 1 PM. A funeral ceremony, officiated by Pastor Billy Humphrey of the Pathway Church of God, will immediately follow at 1 PM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
