Ray Arnold Johnson

July 7, 1950 — February 15, 2024

Ray Arnold Johnson, a man whose presence filled rooms with warmth and kindness, bid farewell to this world on February 15, 2024, in Glen Burnie. His journey began on July 7, 1950, in the picturesque town of Pageston, West Virginia. Ray dedicated 33 and a half years of his life as a Glass Blowing Machine Operator for Carr-Lowry / Anchor Hocking in Baltimore, showcasing precision and skill in his craft.

Beyond his professional achievements, Ray's life was rich with diverse interests. An SP5 in the U.S. Army, he served his country with honor and valor. Yet, it was his passion for watching classic movies, immersing himself in Facebook conversations, and building collections of train sets and military memorabilia that truly defined his leisurely moments.

Ray's legacy extends far beyond his career and hobbies; it lives on in the hearts of those he cherished dearly. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy C. Johnson; devoted daughter Carolyn Hart; and honorary daughters Crystal Clark and Shannon Murphy, who held a special place in his heart; as well as many nieces, nephews, and an extensive circle of extended family. Ray was predeceased by his twin granddaughters Mikaela Grace and Aleaha Josett, and siblings Larry, Tom, David Johnson, and Brenda White;

As friends and family gather to honor Ray Arnold Johnson's memory, they are invited to join in the remembrance services at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services P.A. in Glen Burnie. The visitation is scheduled from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on February 28th, followed by another visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on the same day. A Celebration of Life will take place on February 29th from 10:00 AM to commemorate Ray's remarkable journey through life.

Ray Arnold Johnson will forever be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, and the light he brought into the lives of all who knew him. In bidding him farewell from this realm, we celebrate a life lived fully and with an enduring spirit that will resonate through generations to come.
