Peggy Ruth Myers

Peggy Ruth Myers, a cherished wife, devoted mother, and beloved grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, in Pasadena, Maryland.  Born on April 8, 1936, in Beckley, West Virginia, Peggy lived a life filled with love, creativity, and the warmth of family.

As an esteemed electronics inspector for Westinghouse / Northrop Grumman, Peggy dedicated many years to her profession, showcasing her meticulous attention to detail and her unwavering work ethic.  Yet, while her career was significant, it was her hobbies and interests that truly illuminated her spirit.  Peggy found joy in crocheting, painting, sewing, gardening, camping, and traveling, always embracing new adventures with an open heart.  However, her greatest love was reserved for her family, especially her precious grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy.

Peggy leaves behind her loving husband of over 72 years, Vernon "Sam" Myers, whose steadfast companionship was a cornerstone of her life.  She is survived by her son, Vernon "Bunk" Myers and his wife Sueann; along with her beloved grandson, Sam Myers and his wife, Sydney; her granddaughter, Leeann Myers; and her great-grandchildren, Leighton and Breck, filled her days with laughter and light, creating memories that will be cherished forever.  Peggy's family also includes many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her radiant presence.

Though Peggy has departed, her spirit lives on in the stories shared and the memories made.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda "Becky" Myers; her parents, Myrtle and Howard Blevins; and her siblings, Kenneth Murdock, Sue Claypool, and Kitty Cecil.  Each of them held a special place in her heart.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on January 29, 2026, at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services P.A. in Glen Burnie, Maryland.  The first visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by another from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, January 30, at 10 am in the funeral home chapel.  Interment to follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge.
