Martin Earl Orndorff "Marty"

     On Sunday, August 31, 2025, Martin “Marty” Earl Orndorff of Crownsville, MD passed away peacefully. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth A. Orndorff; loving children, Thomas F. Shaw, Jr. and his wife, Tracy, and Shermeen M. Collins and her husband, Gary; devoted grandchildren, Sydney, Rylie, Trinity and Zachary; and dear siblings, Barry and George Orndorff and Kendra Hart. He is also survived by his devoted companion, “Sophie”; and many nieces, nephews and loving friends. Marty was preceded in death by his parents, Natalie and George Orndorff, Jr.

     Marty has been a volunteer firefighter for over 53 years and most of it was serving at Station 6, Herald Harbor.

     Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 2nd Avenue, SW ,(at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm . A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at The Church at Severn Run, 8187 Telegraph Road, Severn, MD 21144 at 11:00 am. His Inurnment will be held at a later date privately.

     In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in his name to the Herald Harbor Volunteer Fire Department, Station #6, Crownsville, MD.
