Martha Lee Reeves, 92, of Glen Burnie, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on February 26, 2024. She was born in Baltimore to the late Thomas and Martha Ralston. She worked at Clifton T. Perkins as an administrative assistant, retiring after many years of service. Lee, a devout catholic, was a founding parishioner and lifetime member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. She enjoyed horse riding, basketball, watching her children’s and grandchildren’s athletic games, and had a passion for vanilla ice cream. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, David Lawrence Reeves Sr.; grandsons, Christopher Dilday and Patrick Reeves; and her six siblings.
Lee is survived by her devoted children, David L. Reeves Jr. (Nancy), Martha Lee Reeves, Michael H. Reeves (Linda), Cecily Reeves-Dilday (Bruce), Francis J. Reeves, Alison M. Reeves and James A. Reeves (Lisa); cherished grandchildren, Melissa Sager, Elizabeth Reeves, David Reeves, Matthew Reeves, Michael Reeves, Ashley Saller, Timothy Reeves, Tara Dilday, Erin Reeves, James Reeves, David Reeves, Lauren Reeves, David Eckelbarger, Julie Eckelbarger, John Eckelbarger and Megan Eckelbarger; and her loving great-grandchildren, Dylan, Chase, Lily, Bryn, Christopher, Savannah, Carter, Blake, Piper and Ruby Darling.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Wednesday, March 6th from 5 – 8 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 7th, 11 AM, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
