Marlene Elizabeth Simering

June 26, 1954 — May 7, 2025

Marlene Elizabeth Simering, a beloved homemaker and devoted stay-at-home mom, peacefully departed this life on May 7, 2025, in Glen Burnie, Maryland.  Born on June 26, 1954, in Baltimore, Maryland, Marlene was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her.

Marlene dedicated her life to raising her family, pouring her heart and soul into being the most nurturing mother and grandmother.  She found her greatest joy in her roles, as evidenced by the kindness and affection she showered upon her children and grandchildren.  With each laughter shared and story told, Marlene cultivated a home filled with unwavering love.  Her family—Dale E. Simering, her husband of 52 years; their daughter Michelle Wooten, and their son, Scott Simering, along with daughter Nicole Nicolau—will carry her legacy forward, continuously inspired by the nurturing spirit she embodied.  Marlene's cherished grandchildren—Joslyn Wooten, Rylee, Tyler, and Pyper Simering, and Ariana Nicolau—were the twinkle in her eyes, and she took immense joy in every moment spent with them.

Marlene graduated from Andover High School, laying the foundation for a life devoted not just to family, but also to personal interests that brought her joy.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed swimming, but above all, her passion was being a remarkable mom and grandmother.  The love she shared extended beyond her immediate family, leaving a mark on countless lives.  Marlene will also be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched during her time with us, as her spirit radiated kindness, laughter, and love.  As we gather to celebrate her life, we take comfort in the memories and the legacy she leaves behind.

Visitation will take place on May 12, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services P.A., located at 1 2nd Ave S.W., Glen Burnie, MD.  As we reflect on Marlene’s life, let us hold her spirit close and carry forward the lessons of love, compassion, and family that she instilled in all of us.
