Marjorie Kathleen Haller, (also known as Cookie or Aunt Cookie); a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, departed from this world on January 28, 2026. Born January 20, 1942, in Baltimore, Maryland, Marjorie's life was marked by love, faith, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community.
Marjorie graduated from Glen Burnie High School and later in life enjoyed taking courses at Anne Arundel Community College. She worked at the C&P Telephone Company and Kresge’s, where she met her husband, Don. Marjorie enjoyed working as a bank teller and later serving as a medical receptionist for Dr. Huong in Glen Burnie. Her career path continued as she spent time as an office assistant at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Severna Park. Her connections in the community were deepened through her role as a devout Catholic, where she served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy communion and was an active member of the Catholic Daughters.
In her younger years she enjoyed ceramics, gardening, spending time with friends playing cards, and visiting and vacationing with her many siblings. In her later years she enjoyed traveling with her husband. Their travels took them to Yokosuka Japan for the arrival of their first grandchild Jonathan, and later to Germany, where they were able to finally meet distant family members - both trips of a lifetime. However, her greatest joy was always spending precious moments with her family, particularly with her grandchildren, whom she adored.
Marjorie leaves behind a loving family, including her son, Donald E. Haller Jr. and his wife Katherine; her daughter, Karen Haller Morse and her husband Jeffrey Morse; and her grandchildren, Jonathan, Hailey, and Jillian Morse. She also leaves behind her brother, Joseph Edward Micciche, and many cherished nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 54 years, Donald E. Haller Sr; her parents Alice and Frank Micciche; her brothers: Salvatore, Charles, Richard, Robert, Paul, Howard and Harry Micciche; and her sisters Rosemary Weaver and Thelma Hahn.
Marjorie’s kindness, her faith, and her boundless love will remain etched in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be missed profoundly but remembered forever.
