Mabel Evans, 100, of Glen Burnie, went Home to be with the Lord on September 16, 2023. She was born in Wilson, NC to the late Willie and Patty Finch. Mabel's unwavering commitment to her faith led her to become an active member of Faith Baptist Church in Glen Burnie. She eagerly participated in various church groups, finding solace and strength within the community of fellow believers. Family was Mabel's greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent with her loved ones. She was known as the family historian, preserving cherished memories and weaving together generations with her stories and wisdom. In addition to her parents, Mabel was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willie J. Evans Sr., as well as one son and three siblings.
Left to honor Mabel's memory and cherish her life are her devoted children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a loving brother and three caring sisters-in-law. Additionally, Mabel will be deeply missed by her many loving nieces and nephews
Family and friends are invited to gather at Faith Baptist Church on Thursday, September 28, from 10 AM to 12 noon. A Celebration of Life service will immediately follow at noon. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. Donations may be made in Mabel’s name to Faith Baptist Child Development Center, 7378 E. Furnace Branch Road, Glen Burnie, MD 21060.
