On September 18th, 2024, Linda May Scriba, 78, of Severn, Maryland passed away peacefully at her home after battling cancer for more than eight years. She always kept an inspiring and amazingly positive attitude despite all she endured.
We are comforted to know she is again with the love of her life, Robert Scriba Sr. They were blessed to enjoy fifty-two wonderful years of marriage together.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother and father, Dorotha Snider (nee Luht) and Rex Snider Sr. and a sister, Janice Hadley.
Linda is survived by her three children Rebecca Williams, Robert Scriba Jr. and wife Jennifer, and Michele Regert. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Brad Williams and wife Callie, Christina Dixon and husband Randy, Clare Stewart and husband Ben, Samantha Keller, Katie Williams, Jordan Keller, Robby Scriba and Aaron Scriba. In addition to her grandchildren, she was very much looking forward to becoming a Great-Grandmother to Clare and Ben’s first child due in November. She is also survived by brothers, Charles Snider and Rex Snider Jr. and many dear brothers and sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Linda had a love for plants and gardening which created opportunities for her to spend most of her career working at nurseries doing what she loved. She was employed for many years at Sonny’s Plant Farm in Severn and later at Bridgewood Gardens in Crownsville. Later in life she worked at Michaels Craft and Floral Warehouse helping customers, stocking shelves, and unloading delivery trucks.
Linda was a longtime member of Delmont United Methodist Church where she enjoyed volunteering her time in many capacities.
Linda loved gardening and enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing, bowling, antiquing, and traveling. She also enjoyed the many years of Saturday night pinochle games with precious and dearest friends, Marti, and Ken Baker. Above all, her favorite thing to do was spend time with her cherished family and friends.
Linda will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
