Linda Carol Schmidt

October 31, 1945 — June 30, 2024

Linda Carol Schmidt, 78, of Pasadena, MD. passed away on June 30, 2024.  Linda was born on October 31, 1945, in Baltimore, MD, to the late Albert Leslie Rhoades and Ethel Dorothy Connelly Rhoades Szymanski.  

Linda is survived by her beloved husband of almost 56 years, Michael Edward Schmidt; her children, Michael Anthony and Michelle Ann Schmidt, and Melissa Anne Schmidt Fruits and Jeffery Fruits; her grandchildren, Anthony Michael Schmidt and Leanne Schmidt, Kayla Corin Migliorisi and Amanda Migliorisi, Mark Shearer, Michael “Trey” Schmidt, Carter Fruits and Amber and Christopher O'Brien; her great-grandchildren, Vanessa Schmidt, Alexis Schmidt, Iris Schmidt, Kaden Migliorisi and Skylar Schmidt.  Linda is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Jean Carter and Barry Carter and their family, Amanda and Todd Lajeunesse, Nikki and Brian Bombyk, Liyah and Dustin Yorz, Jay Scott and Jon Scott; nephew, Mark Hoke; sister-in-law, Karen Rhoades and her children, Peggy Rhoades and Steven Rhoades; sister-in-law, Lillie Rhoades and her family, Stacy and Brian Kropp, C.J. Rhoades and Lisa Smith; brother-in-law, Edward Bitner; and niece, Emily Bitner. Along with her parents, Linda was preceded in death by siblings, Leslie Rhoades, Albert "Cliff" Rhoades and Kathy Szymanski Hoke, as well as nephew, Tony Smith, and niece, Pam Rhoades.

Linda enjoyed spending time crocheting beautiful pieces and participating in friendly games of Bingo at the Lansdowne-Baltimore Highlands Senior Center.  She especially enjoyed reading and commenting on other peoples Facebook posts :)  And her special trip to Graceland as part of the Fabulous 4.  Her creativity shone through in everything she did, whether it was crafting intricate designs with yarn or eagerly waiting for the next bingo number to be called.  Linda Carol Schmidt will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.  May she be remembered for her kindness, skill, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her.  Rest in peace, Linda.  Your legacy of beauty and joy will continue to live on in the hearts of many.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. S.W. (at Crain Hwy) on Sunday, July 21st, from 2-4 pm.  A Memorial Service will follow at 4 PM, in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers contributions in Linda’s name may be made to the Baltimore County Lansdowne-Baltimore Highlands Senior Center, 424 3rd Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21227.
