On Monday, December 8, 2025, Lawrence "Larry" Thomas Bleemke of Millersville, MD, passed away peacefully with family by his side. He is survived by his beloved wife, Diana M. Bleemke; loving children, Daniel Bleemke, Cathy L. Wagner and her husband, Tom, Steve Bleemke and his wife, Theresa, and Julie A. Giordano and her husband, Sam; devoted grandchildren, Lauren, Matt, Amanda, Nick, Sydney and Samantha; and cherished great-grandchildren, TJ, Hudson, Ottz and Revel.
Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team, an elite unit known for its bravery and sacrifice. During his service, he demonstrated exceptional courage and dedication and was awarded the Bronze Star for his meritorious service in combat.
Larry had a vibrant personality and was the life of every party. He had a gift for making people laugh, often without trying. His humor was effortless and perfectly timed, turning ordinary moments into memories that friends and family happily retold.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032 on Monday, January 5, 2026 for Larry's committal and interment service at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Hospice of the Chesapeake.
