Kim E. Bell-Givens

Kim Elizabeth Bell-Givens, 67 of Bowie, Maryland passed away on January 7, 2024. Kim was born on August 8, 1956 in New York to the late George and Hi Ja Bell. She is survived by her husband, Wilbert W. Givens, Jr.; her uncle, Moon Whan Kim and his wife, Yu Sun Cho; her sister-in-law, Sharon Cann and the late Veronica Givens; her nieces and nephews, Joseph, Laura, Andrew, John, Niav and Sable; and her great-nieces and nephews, Gunner, Theodore, Madison and Mason. She is also survived by her dear friends, Donzelle Tiller, Carlton Epps, James Battle and her sister from another mother, Mary Olinger.

Kim had a long and successful career, spanning over 30 years, at the Food and Drug Administration. She began her time with the FDA in the Documents Department and then moved to the Center for Veterinary Medicine where she retired as a Consumer Safety Officer. Kim enjoyed reading and spending time in her yard with her beautiful flowers.

Kim and her husband, Wilbert will always be grateful to Larry Hamel, who was like a brother to her, for gifting Kim the gift of life giving her one of his kidneys when she needed a transplant.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
