Kevin Barrett

On Thursday, December 3rd, 2020 Kevin Patrick Barrett, age 65, of Ferndale, Maryland, went to be with our Lord. Kevin was the son of Martin and Delia Barrett, of Arbutus and adored brother of Peggy O’Connell, of Kingsville. He was the cherished husband of Cheryl Barrett and admired father of Marty and Chrissy Barrett. He was the beloved brother-in law of Marv O’Connell, Don and Deb Miller and the treasured uncle of Jake Miller, Lindsay Murphy, and Colleen O’Connell.

Kevin was a 1973 graduate of Mount Saint Joseph High School and a retiree of the Social Security Administration where he worked for 38 years. He was a fun loving, music obsessed, social butterfly who wore his heart on his sleeve and was loved by so many. Kevin was a proud Irishman and will be missed and remembered by all who adored him. He touched so many lives in so many special ways and loved everyone with his big heart of gold.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, S.W. (at Crain Hwy) in Glen Burnie on Thursday, December 10th from 3-7 PM. There will be a private service for immediate family with a webcast for extended family and friends to follow on Friday, December 11th beginning in at 11 AM EST. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are only allowing 40 people inside the funeral home at one time and requiring masks for all visitors. We kindly ask that you please keep your visit brief, as there may be people waiting to get into the funeral home.
