On Friday, December 29, 2023, Kenneth “Kenny” Leverne Parks, Jr. of Arnold, MD, formerly of Brooklyn Park, MD passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side. Beloved husband of Un Sik Parks; loving father of Diana Parks Chase and her husband, Anthony, Kenneth L. Parks III, Michael A. Parks and Linda P. Chandler and her husband, Scott; devoted Pop Pop to Justin, Makenna, Colby, Brennan, Kenzie, Michael, Maxton, Landon and Sadie; Godfather of Allyson Wells; brother of Joann Ford, Helen Lisa Parks and Chuckie Meyers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Kenneth Parks, Sr.; and his other siblings, Kent and Mary Parks and Linda Wells.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, PA, 1 2nd Avenue, SW (at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm where a Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 10:00 am. Committal Service and Interment to follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032 where Kenny will receive Military Honors. If desired, Memorial Contributions may be made in his name to the Anne Arundel County Parks & Recreation Youth Sports.
