John Conners

On Tuesday, January 3, 2023, John Michael Conners of Glen Burnie, MD passed away peacefully. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis J. Conners, loving father of Stacie Lynn Conners Fuss and her husband Jason and Donald Patrick Conners and his wife Kelley. Devoted grandfather of Kaitlyn Rose Fuss, Selah Grace Conners, Emily Nicole Fuss, Ashtyn Kelley Conners and Nenah Rae Conners. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and loving friends. John was preceded in death by his parents; Florence and John Conners and his brother Robert E. Conners.

John was a graduate of Norwich University and went on to serve in the U.S. Army.  After leaving the Army, he worked at Westinghouse and Northrop Grumman as an Engineer.  An avid golfer, he enjoyed his golf group and also became involved in Master Gardeners where he developed a passion for beekeeping. He taught bees to elementary schools as well as starting a program at the Roxbury Correctional Institution where he was beloved by his students. John also participated for a long time in a Civil War Round Table and was fond of walking the battlefields.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 Second Avenue, SW, (at Crain Highway) Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Saturday, January 14, 2023 for a “Time of Remembrance & Gathering” from 1:00 pm to 4:00 PM. His inurnment will be held at a later date privately.
