Joanne Sarafina Pittman, 65, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away on January 5, 2013. Joanne was born on January 11, 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland to Katherine and Salvatore Azzara. She worked at Giant Food for over 25 years. Joanne enjoyed bowling, interior decorating, puzzles, and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her father, Salvatore J. Azzara and her sister, Nancy Ann McCanns. Joanne is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Robert R. Pittman; her beloved children, Sherrie Reed and Robert Pittman; her cherished grandchildren, Jessica Reed and Andrew Trout; her cherished mother, Katherine "Kitty" Azzara; and her dear nephew, Frankie Freeburger.
