Jerome Joseph “Jerry” Leyendecker, 85, of Pasadena passed away on September 10, 2024. Jerry was born on December 25, 1938 in Amityville, New York. He is survived by his wife, Pat Leyendecker; his children, Mary Simpson (Michael), Lynn Patterson and Donna Slacum (Ken); his step-children, Kenneth Slacum (Donna) and Kathy Heffner (Charlie); his grandchildren, Caitlin (William), William, Melissa, Mark, Tyler, Jeff, Alicia, John, Steven, Ashley, Charlie Jr. and Nicole; his great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Taylor, Hannah, Hailey, Michelle, Jaxon, Kaydence, Rylee, Brynnlee, Colton, Calvin, Bristol and Ashley’s soon to be newborn daughter.

Jerry proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a longtime member of the NRA. Jerry had a passion for hobbies that brought him joy and fulfillment. He was an avid enthusiast of model trains, spending countless hours perfecting his collection and creating intricate displays that reflected his meticulous attention to detail and creativity. Additionally, time spent with family was precious to Jerry, as he cherished every moment shared with loved ones. His warm spirit and enduring love of Christmas were hallmarks of his character, a season he eagerly anticipated each year, filled with traditions that brought his family together.

As we remember Jerry Leyendecker, we honor a life well-lived, filled with compassion, creativity, and commitment to both country and family. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.

A Graveside service will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Park on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 11:30 AM, along with military funeral honors.
