Janet Polek

Janet M. Polek (nee Paczkoski) , 85 of Linthicum, MD entered into eternal rest April 19, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born May 30, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Vincent S. and Regina R. (Grobleski) Paczkoski. On June 10, 1961 she married Joseph E. Polek who survives. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Linthicum. Janet was a devoted wife who loved her family and grandchildren. She was a 1955 graduate of Coal Township High School, Coal Township, PA where she was an excellent student and excelled in basketball. Janet was an amazing homemaker and enjoyed sewing where she frequently made clothes for her children. She also enjoyed Sunday picnicking with the neighbors, trips to Atlantic City with her Aunts, crabbing, frequent trips back to her hometown visiting with family and friends. Janet is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Joseph E. Polek; daughter, Sharon M. Clark and her husband, Walter D. Clark of Glen Burnie, MD; a brother, Robert Paczkoski and his wife, Jane of Durham, NC; grandchildren, Rachel Welck and her husband, Richard of Goldsboro, NC, Madison Lynn Clark of Glen Burnie and two great-grandchildren, Everley Rowan and Delaney Quinn; a daughter-in-law, Sharon L. Polek of Glen Burnie and sister-in-law, Bernadine Paczkoski of Sunbury, PA. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her son, Ronald J. Polek and her brother, Dr. Vincent J.  Paczkoski.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church on Thursday, April 27th at 12 Noon. Interment to follow at MD Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville.
