James Jae Morgan, Jr.

March 28, 1930 — February 17, 2023

James Jae Morgan, Jr., 92, of Cockeysville, formerly of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away on February 17, 2023.  James was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, on March 28, 1930, to the late Agnes and James Morgan, Sr.   He served his country proudly in the United States Navy, achieving the rank of Aviation Storekeeper Third Class.  He earned his Associate’s degree and went on to work as an engineer for Westinghouse.  James was active in the Masonic Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star.   He was Past Master of Amos Lodge and member of Odenton Lodge #209 AF & AM, Past Patron Odenton Chapter #29 O.E.S., Past High Priest Concordia Royal Arch Chapter Glen Burnie, Past Thrice Illustrious Master Concordia Council of Royal and Select Masons of Glen Burnie, Past Commander Maryland No. 1 Commandery Knights Templar Baltimore, Past Associate Bethel Guardian Bethel #52 Job’s Daughters Dundalk, Charter member of the Advisory Board of Glen Burnie Assembly #10 Rainbow for Girls, and Past Master Councilor and 75 year member of DeMolay International.  James enjoyed the outdoors, especially spending time at his cabin in West Virginia.

James was predeceased by his devoted wife of 58 years, Patricia J. Morgan.  He is survived by his beloved daughters, Kathryn A. Morgan his dear son-in-law, Mark E. Hartz; and Pamela L. Skinner and his cherished grandchildren, Allen K. Haughee, Sara K. Haughee, Jenna K. Skinner, Maria C. Hartz, and grandchildren by choice, Zachary R. Powers and Faith A. Powers.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Avenue, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Wednesday, February 22nd   , from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel.   Interment at Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge.
