Hobie Wallace, Jr

December 19, 1926 — November 1, 2005

On November 1, 2005, Hobie (Hobart) Wallace of Millersville passed away after a long illness. He was the former spouse of Dru Wallace. He is the loving father of Terri Higgins and Troy Wallace. He is also survived by three loving sisters Gretha Tollinger, Phyllis Simmons, and Barbara Hurley. He was preceded in death by his mother Claudye Wallace and sister Louise Newmeyer. He is a cherished grandfather of five and great-grandfather of two. He was a retired restauranteer whose businesses include Wallace's Seafood in Glen Burnie (1965-1978) and also in Ocean City (1978-1987). Hobie was always known for his warm heart and friendly smile; he was beloved by all.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 166 for 32 years and also the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Port Orange, Florida. He was also a 40 year member of the Ocean City Elks.
