Harry Edward Eyler, III, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2025, in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Born on July 19, 1942, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Pansy and Harry E. Eyler, Jr.
Harry proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Marine Corps, receiving a Purple Heart and the Navy Achievement Award. After his military service, he had a fulfilling career and later retiring from the Department of Defense as a Human Resource Officer. His professional journey showcased his dedication, expertise, and commitment to serving those around him.
Harry’s interests extended beyond his career. He found joy in fishing and camping, often spending precious moments enjoying the wonders of nature. A devoted sports enthusiast, he was a passionate supporter of the Baltimore Ravens, proudly cheering for his team during every game. Above all, Harry cherished the time spent with his grandsons, Cole and Ryan, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. Family gatherings were a highlight for him, filled with laughter, stories, and the warm comfort that comes from being surrounded by loved ones.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of 52 years, Louise Eyler; his daughter, Dawn Norris and her husband, Jeff Norris; and his treasured grandsons, Cole and Ryan Norris. Harry is also survived by his sister-in-law, Connie Eyler, and his niece, Patricia Wroten. He will be greatly missed by his family, including his beloved grand dogs, Doc and Jessie, who were cherished companions throughout his life. Along with his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his siblings, William Eyler and Bette Sickle and her husband, Kenneth.
Harry Edward Eyler, III's legacy lives on through his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Thursday, Sept. 25th from 11 am to 1 pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 1 pm in our chapel.
