Gertrude Magid Sledz

Gertrude Magid Sledz, 98 passed away on November 29, 2024, in Belington, WV. Gertrude was born on May 7, 1926, in Baltimore, MD to the late Harry and Anna Bormel. She and her husband, Robert Magid were self-employed, owning a stand in Bel Air market on Gay Street in East Baltimore For 40 years. 

She was preceded in death by her husbands, the late Robert Magid and Charles Sledz. Gertrude is survived by her children, J'en El Gribble, Warren Magid, Mason Magid and Ann Tuttle. She is also survived by five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She volunteered at the Pasadena Senior Center for 13 years, until she was 94 years old. She drove there five days a week to serve “the old" people, as she was the only one who could carry two trays. She loved traveling the world with her daughter J’en El. They also loved to take cruises. Gertrude loved to dance and thoroughly enjoyed the sunshine and gardening.
