Gerald W. Hurst

It is with deep sadness to share that Gerald Hurst passed away yesterday at Baltimore Washington Hospital Center after a short stay in hospice. Gerald was a gentle and quiet man who enjoyed a good chuckle. Although sometimes you never really knew what or who he was chuckling about. That chuckle led to laughter that brightened those around him. Gerald loved to sit crossed legged while sorting and rearranging his large collection of matchbox cars.

“The purpose of our lives is to be happy” – Dalai Lama.  Gerald lived his life with a smile on his face spreading happiness to those around him.

He will be missed by those who loved and cared for him. Especially by his friends; Monte, Kim, Larry, Darrell, Perry, Mark and Carl

Family and friends may gather on Wednesday, December 28, from 3 - 4 PM.  Interment at a later date at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium.
