George was born in Baltimore and was a machinest for 23 years at N.S.A. Prior to that, he worked at Westinghouse. He was a member of the Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church and the Methodist Men. George enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding bicycles, gardening, and building furniture.
