Frank C. Hein, 90, of Severna Park, formerly of Glen Burnie, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020, at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.  Frank was born on February 17, 1930, in Glen Burnie, Maryland, to the late Mary and August Hein.  He served his country proudly as a Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy from 1947 – 1951.  He honed his storytelling skills in the Navy aboard the USS Leyte with ports of call in France, Italy, Iran and Greece.  Frank was the co-owner and Vice President of Hein Brothers Inc. in Glen Burnie.  Frank was a member of the Glen Burnie Masonic Lodge 213, The Glen Burnie Volunteer Fire Company, and St. Alban’s Episcopal Church.  He was a proud recipient of the “Wall of Honor” award from Glen Burnie High School (his alma mater). Frank lived for his family and friends and never met a stranger.  Many will miss him at his favorite restaurants, like Adam’s Ribs in Severna Park, where he regularly held court entertaining fellow diners with stories acquired over his long, beautiful, love-filled life.

In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his devoted wife of 53 years, Betty Lee Hein (nee Hoxter) and his dear brothers, William and August Hein.  He is survived by his beloved children, Frank A. Hein and his wife Ida, Sharon Amrhein and her husband Jim, and Trice Sisk and her husband Ron; his seven cherished grandchildren; and his fifteen loving great-grandchildren.

A Private Service will be held for immediate family only.
