Her vocation was not merely a career; it was her calling. Her home was a hub of joyous gatherings, where baking, gardening, and entertaining friends and family were some of her greatest joys.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Parish; son, Steven Parish; grandson, Tommy Bull; and brother, Arnold Motsinger.
Frances' contributions extended far beyond her career and family. Her determination and kindness earned her the title of Volunteer of the Year in 1981, for Family Services in the European Theater. She founded a Widow Support Group, tirelessly volunteered at Hospice of the Chesapeake and Meals on Wheels. Frances also shared her faith and wisdom as a Sunday school teacher, faith circle member and refreshment coordinator at Messiah United Methodist Church. Her involvement in her community included being a member of a Garden Club and the Pascal Senior Center, where her friendly spirit and engagement left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
