Frances H. Miskowich

On October 22, 2023, Frances H. Miskowich, 94, of Bowie, passed away at her home. She was born in Chase City, Virginia, to the late John Joseph Hazelwood and Inez Russell Gwaltney. She was a member of the Bowie Square Cats and enjoyed regular outings with Phoenix Rising. Frances greatly enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii, crocheting, knitting, crossword puzzles, square dancing and round dancing. She also had a love for painting and flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three husbands, Silas Honaker, Don Reuwer and Don Miskowich.

Frances is survived by her loving daughter, Gail Lynn Kauffman and her husband, Jack; dear step-sons, Vern and Don Miskowich; and her loving nephew, Michael Hazelwood and his wife, Patricia. She will also be missed by many other nieces, nephews and extended relatives.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2^nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Sunday, October 29th, from 2 – 5 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, October 30th, 1 PM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park. Flowers are welcome, or donations may be made to the American Heart Association by visiting www.heart.org
