Ellen Marie Morlock

Ellen Marie (Walter) Morlock, a beloved mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, wife and friend, departed this life on September 12, 2025, at the age of 79. Born in Baltimore on December 26, 1945, she was the cherished daughter of the late Anna Margaret and Bernard Paul Walter Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Roy Sparkman. She is survived by her husband, Charles Morlock. 

Ellen considered her family to be her greatest accomplishment, they were her pride and joy. She enjoyed every moment spent with her loved ones, which included her loving children: Ann Marie Kessler, Kim Hughes (Craig), Carl Crenshaw III (Melissa), and Lea Prince (Rob); cherished grandchildren, Christina Grow, Ashley Wheeler, Joshua Crenshaw, Sean Hughes, Katie King, Nicholas Crenshaw, Marley Prince, Andrew Crenshaw and Matthew Crenshaw; and her adored great-grandchildren, Tessa, Gwen, Elliott, and Charlotte True. She will also be missed by her loving niece and Goddaughter, Jenny Sparkman, as well as many cousins. 

Ellen was an esteemed vice president at a mortgage banking firm, where her intelligence and professionalism shone brightly. Beyond her accomplishments in her career, she found immense joy in her membership at the Bodkin Yacht Club in Pasadena, MD, where she enjoyed boating and spending time with many dear friends. Her passion for quilting and embroidery revealed her artistic flair, as she crafted beautiful pieces with love and a careful eye for detail. Her trademark butterflies are carried by many! 

Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, Glen Burnie, on Monday, September 22nd, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10AM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
