Dottie dedicated over 30 years of her professional life to McCormick and Company, where she made countless contributions to the organization and left a lasting legacy.  An active member of St. Athanasius Church, Dorothy’s faith was a cornerstone of her life.  She found joy in participating in church activities and building lasting relationships with those around her.  Her commitment to her church community exemplified her nurturing and selfless nature.  Outside of work and church, Dorothy embraced many interests that brought her joy.  She had a passion for baking and was known for her delicious creations that delighted family and friends.  She enjoyed shopping and would often take pleasure in lunch outings with her friends, valuing those moments of connection and laughter.  Dorothy also loved spending time with her family at the beach, creating precious memories.  She was also an avid Baltimore Orioles fan, and, on occasion, could be found playing on her iPad.

Dorothy is survived by her beloved daughter, Lisa Greco, and her adored grandchildren, Caterina Greco and Nicholas Greco.  She is also survived by her brother, John Worch, and many other family and dear friends.

She was predeceased in death by her husband, Bernard "Bernie" Lyons; her sister, Mary Catherine Hill, and her parents, John and Mary Worch.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Avenue S.W. (at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, MD 21061, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 2:00–4:00 PM and 6:00–8:00 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 4708 Prudence St, Baltimore, MD 21226.  Her committal service and interment will be held at a later date at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.

As we remember Dorothy Jane Lyons, we celebrate not only her accomplishments but the love she shared with her family and friends, her unyielding spirit, and the joy she brought into the lives of all who knew her.
