Doris Keegan

Doris M. Keegan, 89, passed away on December 26, 2022 at Peartree Assisted Living in Pasadena. She was born in Baltimore on March 27, 1933 to the late John and Rose Cavanaugh. She was the beloved wife of 69 years to the late William F. Keegan Jr. Doris was a teacher at Point Pleasant Elementary School for several years. She had many talents, cooking, gardening, and homemaker; but her greatest talent by far was her ability to love and care for her family, both immediate and extended. She enjoyed doing Meals on Wheels for over 20 years with her good friend and neighbor of 50 years, Carole Melvin, and taking trips with the Pascal Senior Center.

Doris is survived by her devoted children, Dennis Keegan (Susan), Rosemarie Keegan (Robert Hann) and Christopher Keegan (Cindy); six loving grandchildren and 11 cherished great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 Second Avenue, SW, (at Crain Highway) Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Friday, Jan. 6th, from 11 AM – 1 PM. A Celebration of Life service will immediately follow at 1 PM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Messiah United Methodist Church, 7401 E. Furnace Branch Road, Glen Burnie, MD 21060.
