Dianne Pearl Spirko

December 24, 1955 — March 20, 2024

Dianne Pearl Spirko, a loving wife, mom, grandma, sister, and friend, passed away on March 20th in Crownsville, Maryland. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on December 24th, 1955, to the late Pearl and William Peterson.  Dianne led a remarkable life filled with love, joy, and compassion.

Dianne began her career as a paralegal but found her true calling as a full-time grandma.  Her dedication to her family was unwavering and filled with unconditional love.  Dianne's presence brought light and warmth to all who knew her.

Dianne is survived by her devoted husband of 21 years, Larry John Spirko; beloved children, Laura Jean Moretz (David), Sarah Elizabeth Connell (Ryan), and Pastor Tony William Peterson (Joanna); cherished grandchildren, Lydia Jordan Moretz, Rylee Marie and Asher William Peterson; and her dear sister Brenda DeLuna.   The memories created with them will forever hold a place in the hearts of those who loved her.

Dianne was more than just a devoted family woman; she also served her country as a Sergeant in the Army Reserves and pursued education by earning an Associate’s Degree from Anne Arundel Community College.  Her hobbies and interests reflected her creative spirit - from crafting T-shirts, jewelry, and wreaths, to enjoying activities like coloring, word searches, reading her Bible and watching her son's sermons, bird watching, sky gazing, and claiming the title of the family checkers champion.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services in Glen Burnie on March 26th, for visitations from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will take place on March 27th, at 10:00 AM, in the funeral home chapel.

In remembrance of Dianne Pearl Spirko, let us cherish the beautiful memories she has gifted us with and carry forward the values of love, kindness, and compassion that defined her life. May she rest in eternal peace knowing she was deeply loved and will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
