Dennis Mcdaniels

On August 20, 2021, Dennis Alan McDaniels, 81, of Glen Burnie, passed away at BridgingLife Hospice. He was born in Elyria, Ohio to the late Clifford Louis and DeLaurice Edna McDaniels. He honorably served his country in the Air Force from 1962-1965. Denny went on to work for the federal government, retiring in 1996 after 30 years of dedicated service. An avid volleyball player, he traveled the country to regional and national tournaments to participate in Senior Olympic competitions. He also enjoyed genealogy, playing bridge and ping pong, attending drum and bugle corps exhibitions, watching his grandchildren’s sporting events, and spending time with his family.

Denny is survived by his devoted children, Debbie DiLeo and her husband, Tony, Mark McDaniels and his wife, Anna and Becky Barton; cherished grandchildren, Justin, Emily, Zac, Stephanie, Rachel, Maddy and Todd; and loving brother, Ron McDaniels and his wife, Agnes.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, 1 2nd Avenue, S.W. (at Crain Hwy) in Glen Burnie, on Tuesday, August 24th, from 5-8 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, 10:00 AM, in the funeral home chapel, with a viewing prior from 9 AM – 10 AM. Interment to follow at Cathedral Gardens Cemetery in Elkridge.
