He is survived by two children, Megan Poist and Nikki Thornhill; three grandchildren, Tyler and Kaitlyn Poist, and Lucus Villeneuve; and three brothers, Edward R. Thornhill, Jr., and Paul and Thomas Thornhill. He was preceded in death by his parents, Beverly and Edward R. Thornhill, Sr.
