Chester Farthing Sr.

Chester Paul Farthing Sr., 91, passed away on August 17, 2022. He was born and raised in Banner Elk, NC. He honorably served his country in the Marine Corps from 1951 – 1952. He was hardworking and enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family. Chester was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Thelma Farthing; and his two brothers, Kenneth and Mack Farthing.

He is survived by his devoted children, Paul Farthing and his wife, Donna, Catherine L. Farthing, Doug J. Farthing and his wife, Sharon and Elizabeth A. Miller and her husband, Craig; eight cherished grandchildren; 11 beloved great-grandchildren; loving sisters, Rachel Linedecker and Malinda Harmon; and his dear friend and angel nurse, Alberta. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
