Charles (Chuck) Alexander Kozub of Glen Burnie, MD, age 75, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025 with his family by his side.
Born on April 29, 1949 in Baltimore, MD, Chuck was the son of the late Alexander and Margaret Kozub. He honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1970 to 1973, earning both the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal for his commitment. Following his military service, Chuck pursued higher education at the University of Baltimore, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. With this accomplishment, he transitioned into a managerial role within the advertising industry.
Chuck, always a gentle giant with a quick wit and a dry sense of humor, possessed an unparalleled love for learning. He enjoyed participating in trivia contests and sharing interesting facts with those around him. In retirement, Chuck was the weekday caretaker of his granddaughter, Ava, enthusiastically teaching her to read, count in multiple languages, play the piano, recite state capitals, and much more. Chuck was passionate about music, showcasing his talents as a guitarist, pianist, and lyrical composer. He was an avid fan of the Beatles, and he would root for the Ravens and Orioles on game days. Chuck was also a talented artist, having recently renewed his hobby of painting with acrylics. He was truly the rock of his family, and he will be dearly missed.
Chuck is survived by his loving sons, Jeffrey A. Kozub and Andrew J. Kozub (Alexandra); his cherished granddaughter, Ava; and his former spouse and best friend, Kathleen (Kathy) M. Kozub. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dale F. Kozub.
