Brian Lee Turley, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on July 20, 2025, in his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. He was born on January 25, 1959, and lived a life that touched many hearts.
Brian was a dedicated warehouse worker for the State of Maryland Court System, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability. He took immense pride in his work, contributing to his community with unwavering commitment of over 30 years to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. A proud graduate of Northeast High School, where he developed lifelong friendships.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Brian found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid sports fan, with an unwavering loyalty to the Baltimore Orioles and the Ravens, cheering for his teams with the enthusiasm of a lifelong supporter. His interest in antique cars showcased his appreciation for history and craftsmanship, often sparking delightful conversations with fellow enthusiasts.
However, it was his role as a family man that brought him the greatest joy. Brian cherished the moments spent with his daughter, Stephanie M. Gutscher, and son-in-law, Phillip D. Gutscher. His heart swelled with love for his grandchildren, Ava M. and Jaxon D. Gutscher, and Madison G. Roark, with whom he created countless treasured memories. Whether it was going on adventures, sharing stories, or simply enjoying each other's company, Brian's devotion to his family was evident in everything he did.
He is also survived by his loving brother, David Turley, and his wife Colleen, as well as his cherished nephew, Nolan Turley, who will always remember their shared laughter and companionship. Brian's warmth and kindness were felt not only by his family but also by all those fortunate enough to cross his path.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Jacqueline and Norman Turley, who instilled in him the values of kindness, hard work, and compassion. Their legacy lives on through Brian and the many lives he touched.
