Brenda Joyce Lodenkemper

Brenda Joyce Lodenkemper, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home in Pasadena, Maryland, on April 23, 2025, at the age of 70.  Born on November 19, 1954, in Baltimore, Maryland,  Brenda was the daughter of June and Floyd Marsh, and she proudly graduated from Glen Burnie High School.

Brenda's remarkable career spanned over 26 years at Baltimore Gas & Electric, where she took on various positions that showcased her dedication and commitment.  Later, she found immense joy in her role as a special needs school bus driver for Smith Bus Company, serving the community for more than 20 years.  Her unwavering kindness and compassionate spirit touched the lives of many, and her work was a reflection of her caring heart.

Family was Brenda's greatest treasure; her love for her family was boundless, especially for her grandsons.  She found true happiness in their laughter and accomplishments, creating memories that they will carry with them forever.  Brenda is survived by her devoted husband, John L. Lodenkemper, with whom she shared 51 wonderful years of marriage.  Together, they nurtured a beautiful family that includes their daughters, Angela Dickey and her husband Daniel, and Jennifer Lodenkemper, who is engaged to Keith Swoboda.  Brenda's legacy will live on through her beloved grandsons, Mason Dickey and his wife Marissa, and Evan Dickey.

Brenda is also survived by her dear siblings, Linda Barrett, Karen Harris, Charles Marsh, Paul Marsh, and Debbie Haines, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends who hold her memory dear.  She will be lovingly remembered by those who were fortunate to know her warmth, generosity, and unwavering support.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Joanne Wingate, Sonny Marsh, and Connie Soriano, who will be welcoming her with open arms. Brenda’s parents, June and Floyd Marsh, have also preceded her in death.

A visitation in honor of Brenda will be held on April 30, 2025, at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services P.A. in Glen Burnie, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and then again from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Brenda Joyce Lodenkemper will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved her.  She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will remain with her family and friends forever.
