Bentley Allen Heishman

Bentley Allen Heishman, a dedicated Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service at the Glen Burnie post office, passed away peacefully at his home on June 4, 2024.  Born in Perry, West Virginia on September 4, 1933, Bentley led a remarkable life filled with love, service, and a passion for his family.
 
During his time on Earth, Bentley served as a Spec5 in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1963, demonstrating his commitment to his country.  He was known not only for his professional dedication but also for being a kind and gentle soul who touched the lives of many.
 
Bentley found joy in various hobbies and interests such as taking care of his fishpond, woodworking, traveling, and tending to his vegetable garden.  However, above all else, he cherished moments spent with his beloved family.
 
He is survived by his loving wife, Min Chong Heishman; devoted daughter, Liana Martin; caring son, Steven Heishman; cherished grandsons, Daniel Martin, Cameron Martin, and Dune Heishman; as well as adored great-granddaughter, Lenna Martin.  In their grief of losing Bentley, they will hold onto the memories of his warmth and unwavering love.
 
Bentley is predeceased by his first wife, Irma Heishman, and his parents, Nora and Stanley Heishman.  Their memories will live on through the stories shared by those who knew them best.
 
A Graveside Service to honor Bentley's life will be held at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville on June 24, 2024.  The service will commence at 10:00 AM to pay tribute to a man who touched hearts with his kindness and left an indelible mark on those who had the honor of knowing him.
 
In every action he took and every word he spoke, Bentley Allen Heishman exemplified sincerity and compassion. May he rest in peace knowing that he was deeply loved and will never be forgotten by those whose lives he graced.
