Arlene Grimes

November 10, 1951 — July 4, 2022

Arlene F. Grimes, 70, of Glen Burnie, passed away at home, surrounded by her family, on July 4, 2022. She was born in Baltimore to the late James Charles and Madeline Mae King. She enjoyed decorating and interior design, gardening and horticulture. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her daughter, grandsons and her great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James L. King.

Arlene is survived by her beloved husband of 26 years, Alton “Pete” Grimes Jr.; loving daughter, Nanette L. Cochin; devoted grandsons, Justin Cochin (Tammy Withers) and Ryan Byrd; cherished great-grandchildren, Alexia Ray, Paul Williams, Arianna Faith and Jaden Michael Cochin; and dear sister, Nancy Phelps. She will also be missed by her stepson, David Grimes (Melissa Sitterly); step-granddaughter, Stasia Anna Sitterly; former spouses, Garrett N. Cochin (Patricia) and George W. Beck; and her dear friend, Linda Webster.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 12th, 12 PM, at Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society by visiting www.cancer.org
