Ann Marie Jordan

March 8, 1938 — November 11, 2025

Ann Marie Jordan (née Kennedy) passed away on November 11, 2025, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born March 8, 1938, in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, she later lived in Baltimore and Annapolis, where she attended St. Mary’s High School. Ann graduated from Notre Dame of Maryland with post-bachelor studies at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Mary Washington. Ann married John L. ("Jack") Jordan, Jr. on June 11, 1960, at St. Mary's in Annapolis. As a Navy wife, she enjoyed raising four spirited children across deployments in San Diego, Naples, Italy, Hawaii and Virginia. Ann maintained her closest friends from childhood, Joan and Ginny, throughout her life. She touched the lives of many students through her career as a high school teacher in Marine Science and Biology, most recently at King George High School in Virginia. Ann was a talented artist and art collector. Her shoe collection was unrivaled and she never left the house without earrings. Even as she battled dementia, Ann maintained her humor and could still land some zingers. We are especially grateful to her caregivers at Spring Arbor in Severna Park.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Mary Kennedy, husband Jack, sister Eleanor Krupinksy, and daughter Donna. She is survived by her brother Donald (Eleanor), children John Michael (Whitney), Christopher and Tara Radosevich (Peter), many nieces and nephews, and grandchildren Connor (Emily), Kevin, Jack, Maddux, Thomas, Patrick, Ellis, and Eleanor Ann. Ann’s grandchildren all inherited her razor wit, much to their parents’ chagrin.

Ann’s funeral mass will be at St. John Neumann Church at 620 N Bestgate Rd., Annapolis on December 1st at 10:30 am, with a luncheon reception to follow at the Elk’s Lodge at 2 Pythian Drive in Edgewater https://www.elks622.com/map-and-contact-info.html. The service will be live streamed at Funeral Mass for Ann Jordan at https://sjnlivestream.livecontrol.tv/580bc4ba. Burial will be with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery on January 13th at 2:00 pm. Attendees for the burial should arrive early and follow instructions at https://www.arlingtoncemetery.mil/Funerals/Funeral-Information for access.
