Muriel Joy

Muriel Virginia Joy, 79, of Glen Burnie, passed away on August 1, 2018 at Spring Arbor Assisted Living. She was born in Beverly, MA to the late Harold and Alice Johnson. Muriel retired from the Social Security Administration after many years of service. She was a devout member of Grace Pointe Community Church of the Nazarene and was devoted to helping others in need. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Frank Joy; son, Gary Gregory; and her brother, Paul Kenneth Johnson.
Muriel is survived by her nieces, Charlene Lawrence, Paula Dorko, Elaine Swanson, Deborah Chouinard; nephew, Kenneth Johnson; and their families.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 8th, from 9:30am-10:30am at Grace Pointe Community Church of the Nazarene. A celebration of life service will immediately follow at 10:30am. Interment will be held at New Freedom Cemetery in New Freedom, PA at 1pm.
