Janice Sheesley

Janice Sheesley, 81, of Littlestown, PA passed away on 10 August 2018 at her home. Born on November 15, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Evelyn Wolf, the late Joseph Kemp and the late George Wolf. She was the devoted wife of the late Rev. Dwight L. Sheesley, to whom she was married for 55 years. She was also preceded in death by her son, Dwight Sheesley Jr. and grandson, Geoffrey Ford.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Ford and husband, George of Severn, MD; daughter, Cindy Hash and husband, Russell of Shrewsbury, PA; son, Kevin Sheesley and wife, Jane, of Pasadena, MD; grandchildren, Diana and Dan Speelman, Nicholas Ford, Gregory Ford, Andrea Hash, Phillip and Nicole Hash, Trevor Hash, Jamie Barrows, Daniel and Victoria Barbour and Kevin Sheesley; and great grandchildren, Alyssa and Luke Speelman, Aiden Barrows and Kylie and Aubrey Barbour.
She was very involved with church activities. Her favorite pastimes were crocheting, knitting and reading. She also had a love for NASCAR racing. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her sense of humor and kind heart made her a special person to a lot of people.
The family will receive visitors at Johnsville United Methodist Church in Union Bridge, MD on Wednesday, August 15th, from 3-6 pm. On Thursday, August 16th, the family will again receive visitors from 11am- 1pm at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services in Glen Burnie, MD. The funeral will immediately follow at 1pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie, MD at 2 pm.
