Jane "Mert" Frye nee Murphy
On May 12, 2018, Jane "Mert" Frye 85, of Millersville and formally from Grasonville and Severn, died of heart failure. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Maxwell V Frye, Jr., and her siblings: George Murphy, David Murphy, Patrick Murphy, John Murphy and Catherine Murray.
She is survived by her children; Maxwell V. Frye III and wife Carol, Gary G. Frye Sr and wife Karen, and Tracy Frye Morgan. She was extremely devoted to her grandchildren, and babysat most of them for years; Amanda Drain, Justin Frye, Brandan Frye, Heather Frye, Gary Frye, Sarah Morgan and Ian Morgan. She is also a great grandmother to Peyton, Dominic and Addyson, Maxx, Emma and Parker. She is also survived by her sister, Colleen Mack of Louisiana.
Mert, as she was affectionately called by her family, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, completing puzzles and watching game shows. She loved everything purple and butterflies.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A. at 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Highway) on Tuesday May 15, 2018 from 5 -7 pm. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Concerns of Police Survivors, C.O.P.S. at 519 Laurel Road, Riva, Maryland 21140.
