Jacqueline Serio

June 15, 1928 — July 30, 2017

Jacqueline Serio, a resident of Gambrills and formally Brooklyn Park, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, July 30, 2017. Born on June 15, 1928 in Jenkins, KY, she was the daughter of the late Walter Grady and Savannah Dotson. Jackie started her working career after moving to Baltimore, as a salesgirl where she met her late husband, Joseph John Serio. After holding sales jobs, she became a meat wrapper for Food Fair which later became Pantry Pride and from where she retired.

One of her many loves was traveling to Las Vegas, going to parties and dancing to her favorite song "Johnny B. Goode" by Chuck Berry, and playing cards with her sister Fay and friends. After retiring, she loved spending time with her grandsons swimming in the pool, playing cards, watching her Soaps on TV and cooking with her husband, especially spaghetti w/meatballs. Later, after she moved in with her daughter, she enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the birds, playing with "Max" the Yorkie, watching the Orioles on TV, and visiting with the grandsons.

She is survived by her loving children, son, Frank Serio, wife Vay, daughter Debbie House, her husband Bobby, as well as two cherished grandsons Jeremy Serio, his wife Katie, and Morgan House, one loving step-granddaughter, Rory Andrews, sisters & brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Always dear to her heart were her deceased brothers, Otis, Noah (Dale) & Walter (Jr.) Dotson, and sister, Annie Fay Shaffer, and her daughter Sheila Freeman.
