Dorothy Kaufmann

Dorothy Beckman Kaufmann left this world on July 27, 2018 at her home in Tampa, Florida surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born in 1930 to Hurbert and Ressa Reid in Lexington, Virginia. She moved to Maryland to pursue a nursing degree at 18 years old. Dorothy worked for Knollwood Manor Nursing Home in Gambrills for 35 years. She did private duty work and helped many family and friends when they were sick. She was always ready to help someone. Dorothy enjoyed life. She also enjoyed canning, shopping, and travelling by both air and RV. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kaufmann in 2011. She is survived by her sons, Rudy Beckman and Pastor William Beckman; daughter, Debbie Moore; two grandchildren, Robert Moore III and Rebecca Goedderz (Matt); and two great-grandsons, Connor and Xavier Goedderz.
The family will receive visitors at the family owned Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave SW (at Crain Hwy) Glen Burnie on Friday, August 10th, from 11am-1pm. A graveside service will immediately follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
