Ellen Smeltzer

Ellen L. Smeltzer, 72, passed away on June 19, 2022 after a long illness from Parkinson’s Disease, but as promised by her husband and daughter, she was brought home to pass peacefully. Ellen was born on January 9, 1950 to Franklin and Louise Sunstrom. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Bill Smeltzer; her children, Wendy Gentry, Nicole Reed and William Smeltzer; her son-in-laws, David Gentry and John Reed; her daughter-in-law, DJ Smeltzer; her grandchildren, Jordan, Logan, Johhny, Angela, Nick and Nicholas; her brother, Franklin Sunstrom and his wife, Jerri; her niece, Laurie Guerin; and her nephew, Rusty Sunstrom.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 2-3 PM. A Memorial Service will follow at 3 PM in the funeral home chapel.
